I am just a normal guy who repairs old, unloved things that would otherwise end up in the garbage.  Broken guitars, rusty typewriters, tools, whatever crosses my path.  You don’t get to choose what chooses you, after all.

We’re so used to this disposable society that anything which takes more than the tiniest amount of effort to repair gets tossed. There’s so much life left everywhere that we just aren’t even capable of seeing as a society anymore.

That’s not why I fix things though.  It’s a nice side effect to do my infinitesimal part for the planet, but I enjoy figuring out how it all works under the hood, absorbing the patterns and methods and thought that went into creating these things.  You’d be surprised how much you can learn about life from the most unexpected places.
